This is one of my hardest posts to right, ranks right up there with my Daddy and Mom’s obit posts.
Zeke, our rainbow, our sweet babysitter, received his heavenly wings. He was involved in an accident that was unrecoverable and had to be put down.
Zeke was Bear and I’s first horse together. It was a hard blow to both Bear and I. I’m crying as I type. I. Miss. Him. So. Much.
He raised Cody and JT, tolerated Luke and adored Pete and Banks but despised the girls, Kit and Cookie (for the life of me, I do not know why). Zeke was truly a old soul in a young horse’s body. It was like training him never took long at all, like, I got it, what’s next was how it felt working with him. He loved his treats, especially the molasses/carrot balls I made them. His favorite was when I would bring out the corn on the cob, apples, carrots, and molasses and make them a special treat.
Zeke my special boy, you are free to run without pain. Charlie girl will show you around Heaven’s green pastures, cool springs, shady trees until we meet again.
